| Zusammenfassung: | In the present invention there is disclosed a novel process for preparing 4,6-dichloropyrimidines by reacting 4,6-dihydroxypyrimidines with excess of phosphoryl monochloride. The proposed preparation process is characterized in that no base is added. After reaction 0.7 to 1.3 mole of chlorine is added in the presence of phosphorus trichloride for equivalent of the ion-exchange hydroxy group so that there is always excess of phosphorus trichloride with respect to chlorine and in the end both phosphorus trichloride and phosphoryl monochloride are removed. |
