Xanthine derivatives, process of their preparation, their use for preparing pharmaceutical preparations and pharmaceutical preparations containing thereof

In the present invention there are disclosed xanthine derivatives of the general formula I, in which the individual symbols have specific meaning. These derivatives are novel compounds exhibiting antagonistic activity against adenosine. In the present invention there are also claimed a process for preparing such compounds, intermediates for their preparation, use of those compounds for preparation of pharmaceutical preparations as well as pharmaceutical preparations in which those compounds are comprised and which are intended for adenosine antagonizing. Those pharmaceutical preparations are especially used for treating degenerative diseases of central nervous system, for instance in case of senile dementia.
