The light guide, in particular for signal lamps of motor vehicles, comprises at least one collimator (3) with a collimating wall (21) for connecting and directing light rays (100) emitted by the lighting means (5) in the light guide, and the light guide body (2), which adjoins the collimating wall (21), is integral, spatially shaped, and has at its end an output emitting surface (4) to provide at least one signal light function. The light guide body (2) is made of a material with a refractive index (n). The first height (d) of the light guide body (2), which is its height at its beginning, where the light guide body (2) adjoins the end of the collimating wall (21), is greater than the second height (c) of the light guide body (2), which is its height at its end, where it passes into the emitting surface (4). The light guide body (2) is adapted to emit light rays (100) substantially within the scattering angle (ω) from the direction of the optical axis (x), and the light guide body (2) comprises at least one transition surface (22) which the light-conducting body (2) inclines towards the longitudinal axis of the profile in the direction of the emitting surface (4).
