The invented method of felting hattery half-finished products of animal skins within a rotary drum machine employs movements and impacts of individually put, preliminary felted half-finished products against the wall of the rotating drum within the rotary drum machine having the drum overhung on the shaft and containing water bath with temperature in the range of 30 degC to 50 degC to thereby causing felting at all points uniformly and thus creating a final felt of the half-finished product of required strength and extensibility.
