Light emitted by an adjusted headlight (5) is projected onto light-sensitive detectors (1) arranged in at least one matrix wherein the light values are stored in an evaluation unit (9) memory. Subsequently, light of a headlight (5) to be adjusted is projected in he same physical arrangement onto the same light-sensitive detectors (1) and the obtained values are then compared with the adjusted headlight (5) values already stored in the evaluation unit (9) memory. The position of a headlight light reflector (6) varies due to the action of actuating elements (10) onto fasteners (11) until compliance with values being stored in the evaluation unit (9) memory is achieved. The light-sensitive detectors are connected to the evaluation unit(9) that controls the actuating elements (10) of the individual fasteners (11) that serve for attaching the light reflector (6) to a headlight (5) housing (16).
