Particularly contemplated compounds include 1- beta -L-ribofuranosyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxamide, which may be modified and/or phosphorylated. Contemplated compounds may further be combined with other pharmacological compounds, especially including Ribavirin, antibodies, and cytokines. Preferred uses of contemplated compounds include use as an antiviral compound, anti-inflammatory compound, antineoplastic compound, and as a compound to stimulate cellular growth.
