Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Activated charcoal being placed in atmosphere formed by nitrogen and containing up to 2 percent by volume of oxygen is subjected to a controlled thermal process consisting in gradual heating a layer of activated charcoal so that within 8 to 12 hours said activated charcoal layer temperature increases to the range of 100 degC to 110 degC and within another 30 to 50 hours said activated charcoal layer temperature increases to the range of 450 degC to 550 degC. The activated charcoal layer is then held on that temperature for 4 to 12 hours and subsequently it is cooled down during 10 to 25 hours to a temperature ranging from 50 degC to 75 degC, whereby the activated charcoal layer height is up to 500 mm and during cooling period is water sprayed, and carbon dioxide is introduced into the gas above the layer.
