Zusammenfassung:La presente invención describe composiciones farmacéuticas que comprenden derivados de la C-Ficocianina como son la ficocianobilina (FCB) o péptidos cromogénicos de Ficocianobilina (FCB-aa), así como el uso en medicina de dichas composiciones para las cuales han sido demostrados efectos neuroprotectores y/o neuroregeneradores. Además describe combinaciones farmacéuticas de la FCB y FCB-aa con interferones del tipo I que, en efecto sinérgico, hacen racional su uso para el tratamiento de enfermedades del sistema nervioso central con daño isquémico y neurodegenerativo. The present invention describes peptides comprising phycocyanobilin (PCB), as well as the medical use of said peptides and that of PCB, due to the neuroprotector and/or neuroregenerative effects identified for them.
