Zusammenfassung:A tank (2) has in its centre a vertical, open-ended tube (1) contg. a helical swirler (7) and a compressed air delivery pipe (3). - To increase aeration of liquid, to reduce weight of the equipment and consumption of energy, the swirler (7) has a helical strip its sections inclined in turn to the right and left at the angle of 18-78 deg. - Compressed air is admitted into water from the vertical pipe (3) through short horizontal perforated pipes covered by filtering, polymer material. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used in biological purificn. of effluent, in flotation chambers, in fermentation, in microbiological processes and in pharmaceutical ind. In the aerator path of air bubbles through water is increased 3-4 times, in comparison with conventional aerator, with 18-25% increase in air utilisation factor and 20% redn. in power consumption.(1/2)
