Zusammenfassung: | A biogenic iron complex for food fortification, possibly used as a medicament, whose active component is a complex of saccharides or mix of saccharides with ascorbic acid and iron in a mass ratio of 59 to 70 : 20 to 40 : 1 to 10. It is prepared by the reaction of aqueous solutions of saccharides and iron salts and sodium or potassium hydroxide and neutralisation of the mixture by ascorbic acid. The complex is isolated by coagulation by organic solvents and possibly enriched with free ascorbic acid. |
