METHOD OF BIOMASS AND BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCES PREPARATION BY MEANS OF CONTROLLED CULTIVATION IN STIRRED-UP LIQUID MEDIUM AND EQUIPMENT FOR CARRYING OUT THIS METHOD

The invention concerns the method and equipment for preparation of biomass and biologically active substance by means of controlled cultivation in a stirred-up liquid medium. Cultivation is controlled by means of a mixture of gasses fed into the stirred-up culture medium. The gas mixture contains a regulated amount of at least one gas, which is identical to a gas or one of the gasses arising through actual cultivation. This requirement is fulfilled with dependence on a respiration apparatus for the cultivated cells, temperature and pH, particularly a mixture of carbon dioxide and hydrogen in a volume ratio of 1 : 20 to 20 : 1. The subject of the invention is also the equipment for cultivation. Its principle is that the gas feed pipe is divided into two branches, whereas each individual branch is connected to the source of a difference gas. Apart from that it can be equipped with a gas flow regulator and meter. The invention can be used for anaerobic and facultative anaerobic cultivation, particularly in veterinary science.
