Zusammenfassung:Selegiline hydrochloride is a highly effective anti-Parkinsonic with low toxicity. The basis of this way of producing the salt is that 1-phenyl-2-methylaminopropane is allowed to react with a mixture of propargyl alcohol, triphenylphosphine and tetrachloromethane, in the presence of triethylamine, in an environment of dimethylformamide or acetonitrile, in a temperature range of 5 to 60 degrees C, and subsequently with hydrogen chloride in isopropyl alcohol.
