Zusammenfassung:	The proposed solution concerns electrotechnics, mainly construction of electrode holder used in metal melting in electric arc furnace. The aim is to increase applicability of the holder in the following way: In the proposed holder construction there is a transition element consisting of middle copper layer that together with outer layer forms the cooling hollow, in which there is a guiding partition and both inner and outer layers are made of steel. The middle layer is connected with the outer and inner layer by means of bimetallic link.
