Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an air screen of a radiation thermometer for measuring the temperature of a planar formation as it dries or heats up. The object of the invention is to provide an air screen which avoids high energy consumption, permits small dimensions of the thermometer and, above all, frees the measurement from errors due to the undesired absorption of the infrared radiation in the space between the measured object and the thermometer. In essence, the invention contains an annular nozzle which opens in the direction of the optical axis of the radiation thermometer.
