NEW WEAVING PROCESS FOR COLOUR BROCADE SATIN AND PRODUCT THEREOF

The present invention relates to a new weaving process for colour brocade satin and the new product thereof- the Xinmei (freshly charming) satin. The trichromatic principle is applied to the shuttle weaving process for brocade satin in such a way that the traditional process of continuous changing of different colour silks is replaced by an intercombination of mono-colour and bi-colour silks sharing the same reed, instead of changing three colour wefts, thus producing a new brocade satin-the Xinmei satin. With this process, brocade weaving is simplified without any change in the machinery and the materials used, providing favourable conditions for automation of brocade production and also a new product is made into existance.
