The utility model relates to a device capable of adjusting the wire length according to the height of the luminaire, which is composed of a wire holder located in the switch box and a fixation disc hung on the wire holder bottom, the fixation disc, around which the wire is winded, adjusting the distance between the lamp rod and the wire holder through tensing or slacking the wire; wherein a coil passes through the fixation disc at the central portion of the fixation disc, a plug and a nut are disposed in turn on the uppermost part of the coil, a stop ring is arranged underneath the fixation disc after the coil passing through the fixation disc so as to restrict the fixation disc to the bottom end of the plug; a bottom cap going through the coil is fixed underneath the fixation disc by means of a threaded bushing. When chain elements are removed or added to adjust the distance between the lamp rod and the wire holder, the wire winded around the fixation disc can be appropriately tightened or loosened to match different chain length, whereby the distance between the wire holder and the lamp rod can be adjusted as required while the wire is not exposed.
