Plug seat connector

A socket connector is provided for the electrical connection between a CPU and a circuit connector and comprises a pedestal, a cover plate retained on the pedestal and moving relative to the pedestal, a driver and a plurality of conductive terminals all arranged between the pedestal and the cover plate. The pedestal is provided thereon with a plurality of terminal storage grooves for storing the conductive terminals. A first protrusion and a second protrusion are arranged on the two opposite side walls of the pedestal in a staggered manner. The cover plate is provided with through-holes in the positions corresponding to the terminal storage grooves to allow the pins of the CPU to be inserted therein. The cover plate is further provided with a first barrier and a second barrier on the two side walls respectively in a staggered manner. The first and second protrusions are respectively engaged with the first and second barriers of the cover plate in the moving direction of the cover plate relative to the pedestal, so that the mixed assembly of the cover plate and the pedestal is prevented.
