Zusammenfassung:One or more embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a solid state light detection and ranging, LIDAR, optical device and LIDAR, where the solid state light detection and ranging, LIDAR, optical device includes: a carrier. A photonic integrated circuit (PIC) secured to a carrier. The PIC includes an input coupler and an array of output couplers, and a switchable optical network connects the input coupler to a selected different output coupler in the array of output couplers. A laser source is adjacent to the input coupler, mounted to the PIC such that laser light generated by the laser source is injected into the input coupler. An optical stack is adjacent the output coupler array, mounted to the PIC to receive laser light extracted by the output coupler array from the switchable optical network.
