The utility model relates to an improved structure of the operating arm for a chest-developer, which comprises a pair of parallel support arms and a grab handle arranged at one end of each of the parallel support arms; the operating arm is formed by bending a single bar strip; the middle of the bar strip is provided with a bar sheet which can be bent into the grab handle; both sides of the bar strip are bent into parallel support arms corresponding to the grab handle; thus, the structural strength between the grab handle and the support arms is increased. The free end portions of the support arms are provided with a plurality of convex particles which not only can press against ratchets but also can reduce friction force between the ratchets and the support arms to make the chest-developer operated more smoothly; the convex particles and holes can be formed simultaneously when the bar strip is formed without requiring extra manufacturing procedure and wasting unnecessary manpower.
