A photovoltaic cell structure comprises a transparent conductive substrate, a photovoltaic layer, a plurality of first etching grooves, a plurality of second etching grooves, a plurality of first insulating layers, a plurality of second insulating layers, an upper conductive layer and a plurality of third etching grooves. The transparent conductive substrate comprises a transparent substrate and a lower conductive layer. The photovoltaic layer and the upper conducting layer are sequentially arranged on the lower conducting layer. The first insulating layers and the second insulating layers are arranged in the photovoltaic layer. The first etching grooves and the third etching grooves penetrate through the photovoltaic layer to form a plurality of photovoltaic units, the transverse photovoltaic units are electrically connected in series, and the upper conducting layer on the first photovoltaic unit is electrically connected with the lower conducting layer of the second photovoltaic unit adjacent to the first p
