The stamping assembly includes a stamping piston having a stamping cavity. The ram piston receives a hydraulic pressure reaction force. The stamping assembly further includes an overload assembly disposed in the stamping cavity or in a cavity defined by the manifold. The overload assembly includes a rupture disk positioned at a first end of the manifold or ram cavity, a locknut positioned at a second end of the manifold or ram cavity, and a spacer positioned between the rupture disk and the locknut. The spacer transmits a supporting force applied to the locking nut to the rupture disk. The reaction force and the support force of the hydraulic pressure act in the same direction and thus are superimposed forces acting on the rupture disk.
