A robot for safety detection of a glass curtain wall comprises: a motion system comprising a walking platform and a vehicle body; one end of the knocking mechanical arm is connected to the vehicle body, and the other end can swing up and down; the vibration picking mechanical arm can be bent in the horizontal plane, and one end of the vibration picking mechanical arm is rotationally connected to the vehicle body and can swing in the horizontal direction relative to the vehicle body; the telescopic mechanism can extend and retract and comprises a top end connected with the end, away from the vehicle body, of the vibration picking mechanical arm and a bottom end extending downwards from the top end; the detection system comprises a force hammer arranged at the end, away from the vehicle body, of the knocking mechanical arm, and an acceleration sensor arranged at the bottom end of the telescopic mechanism.
