A device using steel balls for expansion is composed of a flange plate, an expansion mechanism, a clamp body, an end face positioning pin, a ball sleeve and balls, and is characterized in that the expansion mechanism is installed in holes of the flange plate and the clamp body, and the clamp body and the flange plate are matched and fastened through screws; the six end face positioning pins are arranged in holes of the clamp body; the expansion mechanism is composed of a spline shaft, a left expansion sleeve, a compression spring, a right expansion sleeve, a gasket and a nut, the left expansion sleeve, the compression spring and the right expansion sleeve are arranged on the spline shaft, and the gasket and the nut are arranged at the right end of the spline shaft; the six balls and the ball sleeve are arranged in corresponding holes of the clamp body; a spline hole is formed in the middle of the flange plate; the left end of the spline shaft is provided with an external spline; the left expansion sleeve and
