The novel sludge treatment system comprises a sludge storage tank, a sludge pump and a filter press which are sequentially connected, a conveying belt is arranged below an outlet of the filter press, and a self-cleaning device is arranged below the conveying belt; the self-cleaning device comprises a cleaning brush, a sludge box, a connecting block, a spring, sliding supports and a fixing block, the sludge box is arranged below the conveying belt, height adjusting supporting legs are arranged at the bottom of the sludge box, the sliding supports are arranged on the two opposite sides of the sludge box respectively, long holes are formed in the sliding supports, and the fixing block is arranged in the long holes. The two ends of the cleaning brush are each provided with one connecting block, the upper ends of the connecting blocks are connected with the ends of the cleaning brush, the lower ends of the connecting blocks extend into the long holes, the lower ends of the springs are connected with the lower ends
