The utility model relates to a torsional vibration damper which is provided with an input component (12) used for leading in torque; two intermediate elements (16), the intermediate elements (16) being coupled to the input part (12) such that a relative rotation of the input part (12) with respect to the intermediate elements (16) can be converted into a linear movement of the intermediate elements (16) towards and/or away from each other; at least one energy storage element (18) acting on the intermediate element (16); an output part (22) for deriving a damped torque, the output part (22) being coupled to the intermediate elements (16) such that a relative linear movement of the intermediate elements (16) relative to one another can be converted into a rotational movement of the output part (22) relative to the intermediate elements (16); and at least one friction element (30) for damping with friction, the friction element (30) being pressed against the intermediate element (16) or the output part (22) and/
