The utility model relates to a method for reducing harmonics of an input current of a rectifier (10) connected to an alternating current network (N), the rectifier is used for providing DC voltage for DC voltage electric equipment (40) with a storage capacitor (C intermediate circuit). The circuit arrangement comprises a DC voltage regulator (20) connected downstream of the rectifier (10) and a regulating device (30), the regulating device is configured to impart a particular current to the DC voltage regulator (20), in particular a harmonic current signal to a waveform-similar DC current, in order to reduce harmonic components in the input current. As a result, harmonics contained in the input current can be reduced.
