Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is an opener for a melon seed, which is composed of a chip, a housing, and a spring, wherein, the chip is connected with the housing through a rivet, and the head of the chip is provided with a U-shaped slot; an elliptic type feeding bore is arranged on the position of the housing, and position of the housing is corresponding to the U-shaped slot. The head of the melon seed is put in the bore to press the chip. The U-shaped slot makes an opening on the head of the melon seed, the chip is loosened, and the chip is reset by a spring. The utility model which has the advantages of sanitary, civilization, small size, and portability relieves the pain which is brought to teeth and a tongue tip which are injured as a consequence of the melon seed cracked with front teeth.
