The COMS image sensor comprises a substrate layer, a light filter layer and a microlens layer. The microlens layer comprises a plurality of light receiving portions arranged in an array and transition portions formed between two adjacent light receiving portions, and the thickness of each light receiving portion is larger than that of each transition portion. The light filter layer comprises light filters and gate oxide layers, each light filter is disposed under each light receiving portion, and each gate oxide layer is filled between two adjacent light filters, the section of each light filter is a trapezoid with a wide upper portion and a narrow lower portion, and the section of each gate oxide layer is a trapezoid with a narrow upper portion and a wide lower portion. In the COMS image sensor, refractive indexes of the light filters and the gate oxide layers are different, because the light filers have inverted trapezoid structures, incident light from the light receiving portion can be gathered on the light filters and transmitted to the substrate layer through the light filters, and the incident light can be effectively prevented from diffusion. A good optical control effect can be achieved, and a colorful effect can be raised. |
