Zusammenfassung:The utility model provides a power converter which comprises an energy transfer element, a power switch, a controller and a leading edge dimming detection circuit. The controller is coupled to control the switching of the power switch and thus adjusts the output of the power converter by controlling the energy transfer going through the energy transfer element. The leading edge dimming detection circuit is coupled to detect the leading edge dimming at the input part of the power converter as a response and generate a control signal. On one hand, the leading edge dimming detection circuit detects the leading edge dimming and generates the control signal to engage a compensator which maintains the input current of the power converter to be equal to or larger than the minimum current. On the other hand, the leading edge dimming detection circuit detects and recycles the making current peak energy of a leading edge dimmer.
