The electric connector comprises a shielding member, a main pedestal, multiple first pressing terminals, multiple second pressing terminals, an auxiliary pedestal, and multiple free terminals. The shielding member has a hollow chamber and an opening communicated with the hollow chamber. The main pedestal is installed in the hollow chamber, and includes a center pedestal body and a tongue part protruding from the center pedestal body and stretching axially, wherein the tongue part is closer to the opening than the center pedestal body. The center pedestal body comprises multiple through grooves stretching axially and a recess part recessed in the bottom surface of the center pedestal body. The first pressing terminals are disposed on the upper surface of the main pedestal by means of insert molding. The second pressing terminals are disposed in the main pedestal by means of insert molding and are received in the through grooves. The auxiliary pedestal is disposed in an area which near the tongue part of the recess part. The free terminals are fixedly held on the auxiliary pedestal. The first pressing terminals, the second pressing terminals and the free terminals are positioned on mutually different planes respectively. The electric connector can be manufactured with low cost and with simple processes in technology.
