The device comprises a power supply module, an infrared spectrometer, an optical filter, a screwed lens, a sample container, a testing device, a signal processing module and an LCD display screen, wherein the power supply module is connected with the infrared spectrometer, the signal processing module and the testing device; after light emitted by the infrared spectrometer sequentially passes through the optical filter, the screwed lens and the sample container, part of the light is subjected to signal processing by the testing device, so as to display the freshness of the foods on the LCD display screen, for another part of the light, received square wave signals are processed by the signal processing module and the food quality classifications are displayed on the LCD display screen.
