The detection apparatus comprises a supporting seat, a front baffle plate, a rear baffle plate, a leading screw, slide bars, a compacting ring and a stress sensor; the front baffle plate and the rear baffle plate which are oppositely arranged are vertically fixed on an upper surface of the supporting seat; the two parallel cylindrical slide bars are fixed between the front baffle plate and the rear baffle plate; a distance between the two slide bars is less than the external diameter of a to-be-assembled bullet; a sidewall of each slide bar is engraved with a length scale; the center of the front baffle plate is provided with a threaded hole; the leading screw is in threaded connection with the threaded hole in the front baffle plate; the leading screw is fixedly provided with a rocking handle at the front end of the front baffle plate; the leading screw is connected with the compacting ring via a thrust bearing at the rear end of the front baffle plate; and the stress sensor is fixed at the front end surface of the rear baffle plate.
