The utility model relates to a rod-type pincerlike current measuring instrument which is used for field operation of professional personnel of winter load test of an electrical power system. The instrument includes a probe, an insulating rod, and an electronic current meter and is characterized in that the probe is U-shaped electromagnet probe which uses a rubber material as an insulating sheath. The electronic current meter is independent of the insulating rod and is connected with the rod through an insulated wire. The rod-type pincerlike current measuring instrument is used for load test operation of the winter and because the electronic current instrument is independent of the insulating rod, during use, the electronic current meter is relatively flexible and thus happening of a phenomenon of inconvenient reading, which is caused by a downward display screen of an electronic current instrument or an overly large distance between the instrument and measurement personnel, which happens in past specific measurement conditions is prevented. At the same time, in the rod-type pincerlike current measuring instrument, because an insulation main material outside the probe is rubber, under an environment of an extremely low temperature, damages do not happen and the reliability of safety production is improved.
