The optical cable comprises a skeleton and an oversheath, wherein the flat oversheath wraps the skeleton, lateral reinforcing pieces are respectively arranged at the two sides of the oversheath in a symmetrical manner, a central reinforcing piece is arranged in the middle portion of the skeleton, the outer wall of the skeleton is wrapped in a water-blocking tape, and a steel band is arranged between the water-blocking tape and the oversheath. Skeleton grooves are uniformly distributed in the inner wall of the skeleton along the circumferential direction, and each skeleton groove is internally provided with multiple rows of optical fiber ribbons. The enhanced pavement microgroove optical cable is high in stretching and flattening performance, low in weight and external diameter, and large in the information transmission amount.
