The power transmission and distribution network fault locating system comprises a locating terminal, a plurality of grounding acquisition devices, a plurality of equipment acquisition devices, a plurality of line acquisition devices and a plurality of lightning arrester current acquisition devices, wherein the grounding acquisition devices are used for acquiring current signals of main transformer grounding lines of a power transmission and distribution network; the equipment acquisition devices are sued for acquiring voltage signals and current signals of power distribution equipment of the power transmission and distribution network; the line acquisition devices are sued for acquiring current signals of three-phase power transmission lines of the power transmission and distribution network; the lightning arrester current acquisition devices are sued for acquiring current signals of lightning arresters of the power transmission and distribution network; each lightning arrester current acquisition device is interconnected with peripheral line acquisition devices through an RF communication mode; and the locating terminal, the grounding acquisition devices and the line acquisition devices are accessed into the same Ethernet network.
