The plotting device comprises a casing, a range finder assembly, a horizontal-shaft encoder, a pitch-shaft encoder, a processor and an AHRS, wherein the range finder assembly, the horizontal-shaft encoder, the pitch-shaft encoder, the processor and the AHRS are arranged in the casing, the bottom of the casing is provided with a horizontal adjusting pedestal, the horizontal-shaft encoder is connected with the horizontal adjusting pedestal via a horizontal shaft, the pitch-shaft encoder is connected with the range finder assembly via a pitch shaft, the AHRS is connected with the range finder assembly, and the range finder assembly, the horizontal-shaft encoder, the pitch-shaft encoder and the AHRS are connected with the processor. The portable single-line diagram plotting device is simple in structure and small in size, can be flexibly applied to pipeline installation and detection sites, is capable of accurately obtaining the precise positions of target points on the pipeline and automatically plotting a single-line diagram, and is rapid in measurement and accurate in measuring results.
