The waste cotton cylinder comprises cylinder body, a waste cotton cap made of metal, a lifting handle made of metal and a static electricity conduction mechanism. An air suction hole is formed in the bottom of the cylinder body. The waste cotton cap made of metal covers the top of the cylinder body and provided with waste cotton inlets. The bottom of the lifting handle made of metal is fixedly mounted onto the waste cotton cap made of metal. The static electricity conduction mechanism comprises a conductor wire and a conductive piece; the conductive piece is connected with the waste cotton cap made of metal, and the conductive piece is connected with a frame of the hosiery machine through the conductor wire. A lifting handle and a waste cotton cap which are both made of plastics integrally are changed into the lifting handle and the waste cotton cap which are both made of metal and assembled together, thus tensile strength of the lifting handle and the waste cotton cap is improved, maintenance cost is lowered, and processing is simplified. By the aid of the static electricity conduction mechanism, static electricity generated by friction between waste cotton and the wall of the waste cotton cylinder is conducted through the conductor wire, and safety performance is improved.
