The utility model relates to a cleaning appliance, which is capable of single-hand operation, and is composed of a housing and at least one liquid container. The lower side of the housing is provided with a device for dismounting at least one cleaning element structured as a pad or a cloth. Liquid in the liquid container (3) can be output through an output device by increasing the pressure in the liquid container (3). The cleaning element (2) comprises a front side having at least one first sucking or wiping feature, and a rear side having at least one second sucking or wiping feature. The cleaning element can be fixed to the housing (1) by using the front side or the rear side, and thereby either the front side or the rear side orients downwardly, and the cleaning element (2) can be used at two sides.
