Zusammenfassung: | The utility model relates to a magneto type eddy current retarder for a mine car. The magneto type eddy current retarder comprises a stator fixed on a frame of a mine car and a rotor which is connected with a hub at the bottom of the mine car through a connection tray. A plurality of permanent magnets with alternatively-changed magnetic poles are arranged on the outer circumference of the rotor. The hub of the rotor is in transmission connection with a planetary gear transmission arranged on the connection tray. The retarder is a relatively independent responsive auxiliary braking system. According to the operating principle of the retarder, an eddy-current loss technology is utilized. When the mine car drives down, the rotor is driven by the hub to rotate so as to produce braking torque. When the mine car drives upward, the retarder can be adjusted to stop running.
