The antiskid device of the steel wire ropes of the friction hoist comprises a brake mechanism and a hydraulic drive system, wherein the brake mechanism includes brake bases which are oppositely arranged on both sides, friction pads are fixed on the front surfaces of the brake bases, the hydraulic drive system includes a brake cylinder, the piston rod of the brake cylinder is connected with the back surfaces of the brake bases, and a hydraulic cylinder drives the brake bases to move to enable the friction pads to clamp the steel wire ropes. The friction pads on the brake bases which are opposite arranged on both sides are arranged in a staggered teeth structure to compensate the abrasion caused by the friction of the friction pads with the steel wire ropes in real time.
