The device comprises a distal anchor, a proximal anchor and an elongated connecting element which is connected between the distal anchor and the proximal anchor. The distal and the proximal anchors are characterized by having two configurations: (i) a folded configuration; and, (ii) a deployed configuration. The fixation device further comprises deployment means adapted to deploy the distal and the proximal anchors by reconfiguring the same from the folded configuration to the deployed configuration. |
