A cavity communicated with the top and the bottom is arranged in the interior of the holder lower portion, an annular boss is arranged at the lower end of the holder lower portion along the inner wall of the holder lower portion, and a spring is arranged inside the cavity. By means of the adoption of the novel seedholder, in the silicon single crystal growth process, seed can be prevented from being fractured, and the service life of the seed is prolonged. The safety of large diameter silicon crystal production is greatly improved, and the novel seedholder is suitable for a large diameter silicon crystal with the growth weight of less than 600 kilograms.
