The blades are mounted on the frame and is fittingly connected with the motor fixedly mounted in the frame, the motor is connected with the controller by a cable, the controller is fixedly mounted in the frame, the sensing device is mounted on the outer surface of the frame and connected with the controller, the controller is connected with an external power source, and a control chip and a power regulator are arranged inside the controller. The ventilation fan is simple in structure, whether people are in a room or not is sensed by the sensing device, and the rotation speed of the fan is regulated, so that the rotation speed is reduced when people are not in the room. Accordingly, the service life of the ventilation fan is prolonged, and energy consumption is reduced.
