In the mechanism, an electric push rod is connected with a driving rod through a driving device, the driving rod is connected with a vertical upward device; an elevating beam on the vertical upward device is positioned in a vertical upward guiding device; a backup roller supporting seat on the elevating beam is provided with a backup roller; and the backup roller is suspended on a telescopic gap bridge. By adopting the gap bridge elevating mechanism, the section can be supported stably after being straightened, a straightened section is prevented from bending and deforming and stably transits onto the gap bridge once again, and the phenomena of scratch of a felt belt on the gap bridge and off tracking of the section are avoided.
