The speed reducer comprises a housing, a first stage gearwheel shaft(5), first stage big gearwheels (1 and 6), second stage gearwheel shafts (3, 7), a second stage big gearwheel (8) and an output shaft (9), wherein the first stage gearwheel shaft(5) and the output shaft (9) are coaxially mounted on the housing through a bearing; the second stage gearwheel shafts (3 and 7) are mounted on the housing through the bearing and symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the first stage gearwheel shaft(5) and the output shaft (9); the first stage gearwheel shaft(5) is simultaneously engaged with the first stage big gearwheels (1 and 6) mounted on the second stage gearwheel shafts (3 and 7); and the second stage gearwheel shafts (3 and 7) is simultaneously engaged with the second stage big gearwheel (8) mounted on the output shaft (9).
