An experimental device for demonstrating an iron trichloride formation reaction is characterized in that the experimental device comprises a glass tube filled with chlorine gas; openings are formed at two ends of the glass tube; plugs are arranged at the openings; a wire penetrates the glass tube; and the wire can penetrate the plugs in a sliding manner.
