Disclosed is a measuring system for the electrode length pressure slipping volume of an ore smelting electric arc furnace, which comprises a length measuring sensor, a pulse counting and direction discrimination circuit, a measuring device and a display device which are connected sequentially, also comprises a depended wheel and a mechanical speed-change mechanism; wherein the length measuring sensor is a photoelectric encoder; and the depended wheel is coaxially connected with the photoelectric encoder by the mechanical speed-change mechanism. A long line transmission circuit is also connected between the length measuring sensor and the pulse counting and direction discrimination circuit.
