Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a cable installation accessory, which is advantageously used for installations of cables (2) in ship cabins. According to the invention the cables (2) are covered by a channel (1), which is fixed onto a mounting base. Thus the cables (2) remain in the space between the mounting base and the channel (1), i.e. in the recess of the channel. The recess may be filled with a filling part (4), which keeps the cables in place and at the same time acts as a fire preventing material. The longitudinal edges of the channel (1) provide mounting faces (3) for fixing the channel onto the mounting base.
