Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for producing a portable data carrier (100), starting with a film carrier (10), whose upper face (14) comprises a contact layout (28) and whose lower face (16) comprises a semiconductor circuit (20) that is connected to the contact layout. The prepared film carrier (10) is laid in an injection moulding tool (30), and injection moulding then takes place. During said injection moulding process a moulded body (40) is formed around the semiconductor circuit (20) on the lower face (16), said body having external contours that correspond to a standard specificationfor the external dimension (102) of a portable data carrier.
