Zusammenfassung:	There is provided a fuel cell system capable of performing appropriate and rapid stop operation upon an accident such as power supply stop without using an auxiliary power source or an inert gas (nitrogen gas). The fuel cell system (100) includes: a fuel cell (12) having an output port (104) for consuming the fuel gas to generate electricity and running out a fuel gas; a moisture removal device (15) for removing moisture from the fuel gas sent via the output port (104); a burner (16) arranged at the downstream of the moisture removal device (15) for burning the fuel gas; and a gas pipe open/close valve (18) for opening/closing a pipe (106) communicating the moisture removal device (15) with the burner (16). When electricity generation stops, the gas pipe open/close valve (18) is closed.
